In this doctoral thesis we designed and implemented a command and control system for ultra-intense laser systems in the class of OPCPA lasers - Optical Parametric Chirped Pulse Amplification, developing a new concept for measuring critical delays in these systems. The related stages of command, control, synchronization and correction of the optical path have been tested and integrated in the CETAL-PW laser being currently under operation. The synchronization system called Sincrolaser developed, ensures the control of the pulses of ultra-intense lasers in specific working regimes, such as pulse to pulse, in burst mode and continuous modes with nominal and subnominal repetition rates. Within the CETAL-PW laser, this developed system allowed the development of complex experiments of solid laser-target interaction as well as those of laser-gas jet interaction. Time monitoring system called “The timer” ensures the determination of the phase shift between the useful laser pulses and the pumping laser pulses. During the implementation in the CETAL-PW laser, the specific delays were measured, in class of 1 ns -20 ns. The beam position control system implemented in the CETAL-PW laser allows the control of the laser beam position through the system and eliminates critical misalignments in the laser beam transport line. The research and development activity exposed in this thesis presents the realization of a set of original equipment that are able to control, command and monitor an ultra-intense laser system. The research results are directly applicable to superpower laser families such as the 2 x 10 PW ELI-NP and to the new 100 PW laser concepts.
